Production Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Ensure production schedule meets efficiency and customer requirements.
• Maintain control of labor costs and maximize labor utilization.
• Promote and lead lean manufacturing and continuous improvement activities.
• Ensure set-up and cycle times are met.
• Make decisions and solve technical or scheduling issues.
• Cook discipline and schedule work for hourly plant employees.
• Train employees to perform their duties.
• Maintain quality standards and inventory levels.
• Oversight of stock movements and shipping duties.

Requirements

• Experience in a manufacturing setting in a supervisory role.
• Well-developed interpersonal skills for coaching and training.
• Understanding of customer requirements and quality systems.
• Computer skills for tracking orders and maintaining records.
• Excellent organizational and verbal/written communication skills.
• Technical skills to troubleshoot production processes.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949:2016 and ISO 1400 requirements.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in mechanical/technical/production areas or equivalent experience.
• Business training in inventory management, accounting, customer service, and quality assurance.
