Production Supervisor

Position Summary

Oversees production work areas, ensuring operations run smoothly, work is completed on time, and quality objectives are achieved. Ensures appropriate staffing levels are met and maintained.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead production teams and ensure parts are produced on time, on budget, and with quality meeting company objectives
• Employee mentoring and development
• Identification of constraints and development of work around plans
• Meet Master Schedule delivery requirements
• Validate time and cost standards
• Motivate workforce to meet individual and company objectives
• Conduct employee evaluations and assist with hiring and employee retention decisions
• Take responsibility and make decisions when needed
• Possess the ability to lead with confidence and take calculated risks
• Comply with all relevant regulations
• Identify and solve problems with root cause corrective actions (RCFA)
• Provide tactical cost reduction solutions and track progress
• Work with internal customers to identify manufacturing constraints, impacts, and solutions
• Recommend and process design/process changes
• Implement design changes in manufacturing environment
• Monitor operation of production equipment for efficiency, safety, and quality standards
• Investigate and resolve manufacturing process problems
• Identify specific issues with current machinery or processes
• Prepare operating procedures, instructions, and training materials

Position Requirements

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data entry
• Basic understanding of production planning and order processing
• Effective communication with production and management teams
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Experience with ERP or inventory management systems
