Production Supervisor

About the role

Primarily responsible for the successful execution of the daily agenda as passed down from those directly related with departments performance. Maintain open, daily communication (verbal and e-mail) with area managers to assure efficiency of operations and apprise them of any unusual occurrence (equipment failures, personnel issues, etc.) that take place during your shift.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct subordinates for providing effective and efficient operating practices that ultimately lead to conforming production standards and quality.
• Recommend solutions to challenges and opportunities that improve performance in all facets of the manufacturing spectrum.
• Troubleshoot and analyze production non-conformities inclusive of faulty work, production delays and material shortages.
• Plan and arrange for both planned maintenance and repair of equipment as needed.
• Provide input (either by request or by necessity) related costs, methods, design changes, quality control and safety.
• Enforce company rules and regulations.

Requirements

• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office) and willingness to become proficient in the use of Plex.
• Blueprint reading.
• Business math.
• Analytical abilities.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must use correct English, spelling, grammar, punctuation and vocabulary.
• Highly self-motivated and innovative; team player in a busy manufacturing environment; able to work independently or in a group situation.
• Capability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
• Ability to remain calm and to be flexible to changing schedules or timelines.
• Ability to analyze difficult and/or sensitive situations and adopt an effective course of action.
