Production Supervisor

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage production operations across multiple departments and shifts
- Supervise, coach, motivate, and develop employees for maximum productivity and engagement
- Plan work activities, set expectations, and ensure production targets are met
- Monitor and manage department costs, profitability, and inventory
- Identify operational problems and improvement opportunities; research and implement solutions
- Conduct employee performance evaluations, provide feedback, and support development planning
- Ensure compliance with all UFP policies, procedures, and applicable laws
- Lead and participate in continuous improvement (CI) initiatives, including 5S and TPM
- Champion safety as Priority One, including participation in safety committees, JDAs, JSAs, audits, and LOTO compliance
- Prepare reports and maintain accurate production and operational records
- Communicate effectively with team members and other leaders across the organization
- Work closely with maintenance to support equipment reliability and preventative maintenance
- Operate a forklift when needed to support production flow
- If assigned to the Treating Department, follow all hazardous material handling procedures
Qualifications
- Post‑high school education
- 3–5 years of manufacturing experience
- 1–3 years of experience leading or supervising employees
- Ability to clearly communicate expectations, priorities, and timelines
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Commitment to workplace safety and regulatory compliance
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic production environment
- Successfully complete forklift driver certification
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience managing agendas, meetings, and visual production tools
- Strong working knowledge of Inside UFPI systems, Citrix, and professional email communication
- Familiarity with the Precise Plant Quality Program and quality troubleshooting
- Understanding of preventative maintenance, standard work instructions, and equipment processes
- Experience conducting machine audits and supporting safety improvements
- Proven ability to train employees, document training, and support skill development
- Ability to provide daily feedback, conduct employee reviews, and identify advancement potential
- Self‑awareness and willingness to reflect and continuously improve leadership effectiveness
Pay
$19.00 - $21.00 hourly.
