Production Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage production operations across multiple departments and shifts
  • Supervise, coach, motivate, and develop employees for maximum productivity and engagement
  • Plan work activities, set expectations, and ensure production targets are met
  • Monitor and manage department costs, profitability, and inventory
  • Identify operational problems and improvement opportunities; research and implement solutions
  • Conduct employee performance evaluations, provide feedback, and support development planning
  • Ensure compliance with all UFP policies, procedures, and applicable laws
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement (CI) initiatives, including 5S and TPM
  • Champion safety as Priority One, including participation in safety committees, JDAs, JSAs, audits, and LOTO compliance
  • Prepare reports and maintain accurate production and operational records
  • Communicate effectively with team members and other leaders across the organization
  • Work closely with maintenance to support equipment reliability and preventative maintenance
  • Operate a forklift when needed to support production flow
  • If assigned to the Treating Department, follow all hazardous material handling procedures

Qualifications

  • Post‑high school education
  • 3–5 years of manufacturing experience
  • 1–3 years of experience leading or supervising employees
  • Ability to clearly communicate expectations, priorities, and timelines
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Commitment to workplace safety and regulatory compliance
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic production environment
  • Successfully complete forklift driver certification

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Experience managing agendas, meetings, and visual production tools
  • Strong working knowledge of Inside UFPI systems, Citrix, and professional email communication
  • Familiarity with the Precise Plant Quality Program and quality troubleshooting
  • Understanding of preventative maintenance, standard work instructions, and equipment processes
  • Experience conducting machine audits and supporting safety improvements
  • Proven ability to train employees, document training, and support skill development
  • Ability to provide daily feedback, conduct employee reviews, and identify advancement potential
  • Self‑awareness and willingness to reflect and continuously improve leadership effectiveness

Pay

$19.00 - $21.00 hourly.
