Production Supervisor
About the role
We are seeking a Production Supervisor to lead our overnight bakery production team in Chattanooga. This role supports daily production operations, team performance, product quality, food safety, staffing, training, and overall shift execution.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily production activities to help meet safety, quality, labor, and production goals.
- Lead, coach, and support production team members throughout the shift.
- Help coordinate staffing, breaks, line flow, production priorities, and shift assignments.
- Ensure employees follow company policies, GMPs, food safety standards, sanitation expectations, and safety procedures.
- Monitor product quality and help address issues quickly and effectively.
- Communicate production, staffing, quality, or equipment concerns to the appropriate teams.
- Partner with Quality, Sanitation, Maintenance, and Production Management to resolve operational issues.
- Support training for new and existing team members.
- Complete production reports, shift documentation, downtime tracking, labor reporting, and other required records.
- Help identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce waste, minimize downtime, and strengthen team performance.
Requirements
- Strong communication, leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead and support employees in a fast-paced production environment.
- Good attention to detail and ability to identify safety, quality, equipment, or process concerns.
- Basic understanding of production processes, GMPs, food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety.
- Able to manage multiple priorities during the shift.
- Basic computer skills, including Outlook, Excel, Teams, or production reporting systems.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- At least 2 years of experience in production, manufacturing, bakery, or food manufacturing preferred.
- Prior lead, trainer, or supervisory experience preferred.
- High-volume food manufacturing or bakery experience is a plus.
- Experience with production reporting, labor tracking, downtime tracking, inventory support, or quality documentation is helpful.
- Exposure to FDA, USDA, SQF, AIB, customer audits, or third-party audits is a plus, but not required.
Skills
- Food manufacturing or bakery production experience.
- FSMA or PCQI certification is a plus.
- Leverage Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement exposure.
- Experience with ERP systems, production software, inventory systems, or reporting tools is helpful.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $XX/X based on experience and qualifications. Salary will be determined based on the successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Schedule
This role requires a 5-day workweek, typically from 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM, with occasional weekend and overtime as needed.
