Responsibilities

The Production Supervisor will manage small work teams in a fast-paced, high-volume, unionized manufacturing environment. Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring team safety and enforcing mandated safety tools and procedures.
  • Building, training, and allocating manpower to meet production goals.
  • Driving and implementing continuous improvement solutions to enhance product quality, throughput, and cost targets while sustaining improvements within the Zone.
  • Coordinating activities to achieve business metrics and implementing the Stellantis Industrial System (SIS) processes and initiatives.
  • Analyzing and addressing production issues, using the C-Matrix to improve Zone performance through World Class Manufacturing activities.
  • Proactively analyzing quality KPIs, prioritizing issues, and guiding Team Leaders to resolve them.
  • Managing absenteeism, allocating personnel effectively, and fostering team development.
  • Mobilizing support groups and resources to assist in problem-solving activities across the manufacturing organization.
  • Leading kaizen projects focused on Safety, Cost, Quality, Throughput improvements, and waste reduction.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to work any shift and overtime as required.
  • Excellent organization, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interface with employees at all levels, from hourly workers to Senior Leadership.
  • Ability to build effective business relationships with plant leadership and customers.
  • Capability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Goal-oriented self-starter with leadership abilities.
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, and developing team members.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience in a high-volume environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop team members.
  • Previous experience working in a union environment.
  • Experience with continuous improvement systems and lean manufacturing.
