About the role

The Production Supervisor will manage small work teams in a fast-paced, high-volume, unionized manufacturing environment. Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the production plan is met
  • Analyzing issues with other roles and driving continuous improvement
  • Improving safety and enforcing safety protocols
  • Understanding and addressing losses during shifts
  • Leading the team to improve safety and quality
  • Managing absenteeism and training teams
  • Building effective business relationships and leading kaizen projects

Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for coordinating all activities to meet business metrics, implementing Stellantis Industrial Systems processes and initiatives, and improving Zone performances. This includes:

  • Ensuring the production plan is met
  • Analyzing and addressing quality KPIs
  • Coordinating Stellantis Industrial Systems activities
  • Training and building teams
  • Mobilizing support groups and resources for problem-solving
  • Leading kaizen projects focused on safety, cost, quality, and throughput improvements

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to work any shift and overtime as required
  • Excellent organization, written, and oral communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interface with various levels of employees
  • Goal-oriented self-starter with ability to lead teams
  • Possess knowledge of the broader manufacturing organization
  • Ability to build effective business relationships with plant leadership and customers
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field
  • 2 or more years experience in supervision in a high-volume environment
  • Demonstrated ability to coach/mentor/develop team members
  • Previous experience working in a union environment
  • Experience in continuous improvement systems and lean manufacturing
  • Good working knowledge of Google Suite software programs
