Production Supervisor

Spring Valley began on a small family farm in Jackson, WI in 1961 and has grown into a leading manufacturer of fertilizers and ice melter products. From our 8 blending locations and multiple shipping locations, we serve a wide variety of customer markets including distributors, co-ops, and retailers throughout the United States and internationally. Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct all production and warehouse employees.
• Monitor all plant operations to meet safety, environmental control, and regulatory compliance standards.
• Ensure all work processes are documented and compliant with SOPs.
• Track and monitor production reliability, quality, and cost results; communicate results effectively to associates and management.
• Execute work process improvements for equipment, systems, and processes to achieve safety, product quality, and reliability targets.
• Lead associate skill development, training, and qualification processes; document training.
• Complete necessary paperwork each shift for accurate inventory and production reporting.
• Manage equipment cleanout operations and handle hazardous waste during generation, storage, and shipment.
• Assist in creating and maintaining a culture of exceptional customer service.
• Oversee safe use of equipment and request maintenance as needed.
• Perform verification of production output according to procedures.
• Assist in recruiting, hiring, and onboarding of employees.
• Counsel employees as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Able to handle multiple projects and prioritize.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to work variable hours.
• Knowledge of Federal and State employment laws.

Pay

$50,000 - $65,000 annually
