About the role
Sika Corporation is looking for Production Supervisors to join its growing team for the roofing business in Sealy, TX. A Production Supervisor at Sika is a professional who oversees operations on their shift. The individual must be able to delegate tasks, resolve problems, and ensure a smooth operation with their assigned team of machine operators. Also, oversight of Cross-functional Teams for improvement projects. This Leadership Development position provides an opportunity for advancement into management with advanced responsibilities in Operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage shift production, employees time‑off requests, and training
- Assign duties to employees and oversee their development
- Provide guidance and feedback to employees when needed
- Ensure industry rules and regulations are followed through training
- Handle employee administrative needs with Human Resources
- Oversight of cross‑functional teams for improvement projects
Qualifications
- BS Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering
- 5 – 8 years of supervisory experience with dynamic continuous processes
- Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to climb on/off lift trucks and in/out of truck cabs as needed
- Technical comprehension
