Main Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in all production processes.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Lead, supervise, and support production associates.
- Compose and deliver performance evaluations.
- Corrective action notices and provide constructive feedback.
- Train, monitor, and enforce quality control standards.
- Address and rectify issues affecting product quality.
- Track, manage, and audit raw materials and finished goods inventory.
- Cookordination with the supply chain to optimize stock levels.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and propose scalable solutions.
- Implement changes to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Enforce and promote safety protocols.
- Conduct regular safety training for production personnel.
- Collaborate with site cross-functional partners.
- Relay information accurately, in detail, and respectfully to ensure smooth operations.
- Train new production employees.
- Provide ongoing training to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Address and resolve production-related issues promptly.
- Implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
- Keep abreast of industry regulations and update procedures accordingly.
- Coordinate maintenance schedules for production equipment.
- Address equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate production records and reports.
- Generate reports for management on production metrics.
Requirements
- Two (2) or more years of leadership experience in a production environment.
- One (1) or more years of experience working with Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Strong leadership background – ability to direct a diverse unionized workforce.
- Ability to manage and develop employees.
- Strong skills in working knowledge of MS applications including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and ability to grasp additional business-related applications.
Qualifications
