Production Supervisor

Key Essential Functions/Responsibilities

• Enforce all elements of Food Safety within the plant.
• Notify the manager immediately if any food safety issues are found.
• Be trained in HACCP and know the CCP for their given line.
• Be trained in GMP principles and assist in maintaining compliance.
• Oversee the production of products in a safe manner while maintaining quality standards.
• Ensure all lines operate within the required production standard.
• Know how to properly use all pieces of equipment within their area and perform basic troubleshooting.
• Maintain training for all employees on their shift, including inspection criteria, cleaning practices, safe equipment operation, case/pouch/carton fabrication, and GMP policies.
• Identify excess people and reassign them to the shift coordinator.
• Reduce labor count without compromising safety or product quality.
• Ensure all finished skid production reports are turned into the data entry department.
• Fill out and submit accident or incident reports to the production manager.
• Assist the line foreman with line cleanup and inspection, including cleaning, inspecting, and knowing the cleanup operations involved.
• Share any discrepancies with the Quality Management System to the supervisor or quality manager, including HACCP programs, allergen programs, sanitation procedures, GMP findings, foreign material findings, and HOLD procedures.

Production Requirements

This position is fast-paced and requires math and reasoning skills. The production supervisor must be flexible in working hours and available for inter-company work or weekend work as deemed necessary by the Company.
