Production Supervisor
About the role
Resonetics is a global leader in advanced engineering, prototyping, product development, and micro manufacturing, driving innovation in the medical device industry. This hands-on supervisory position supports the Production Manager and acts as a technical troubleshooter. The Production Supervisor directs job assignments, provides technical leadership to production staff, and ensures production schedules and customer commitments are met. The role also involves selecting and training new employees and those working on new jobs.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute the production schedule, providing supervision and direction to Production Team Leaders and Laser Operators.
- Allocate resources to ensure minimum downtime and completion of scheduled activities.
- Prioritize and manage workload to meet company, department, and customer objectives.
- Conduct safety and orientation training with new employees.
- Oversee and maintain safety practices in compliance with company policies.
- Supervise and assist in training production processes, providing guidance and coaching to employees.
- Communicate shift activity, including changes to equipment, processes, and materials/supplies.
- Monitor efficiency and quality of production jobs; review daily cell goals and identify root causes for unmet targets.
- Assist in running and troubleshooting production jobs.
- Develop strong team relationships and cross-shift collaboration.
- Review production records for completeness and accuracy.
- Prepare product shipments, including reviewing internal material travelers and related documents.
- Maintain inventory and replenish production supplies.
- Control and organize timesheets for production personnel.
- Conduct performance appraisals and communicate findings to senior management.
- Manage employee conduct or performance issues in accordance with company policies.
- Work with Quality to design, implement, and monitor quality awareness and improvement programs.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), Access, or other data tracking systems.
- Strong decision-making and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and creatively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with ISO and FDA compliance.
Physical Demands
- 5 years of technical experience and 5 years of progressive supervisory experience.
Pay
The compensation for this role is competitive, with an anticipated range of $65,000–$72,000 based on experience and qualifications.
Candidates must already be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.
