Production Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently oversees production operations.
• Maintains quality standards and ensures compliance with policies, procedures, and laws.
• Directly supervises 5–10 production employees.
• Schedules and directs employees in production tasks.
• Trains team to achieve production goals.
• Monitors materials needed for production.
• Alerts maintenance of potential equipment issues.
• Determines overtime work schedule and approves time.
• Monitors production output and quality data.
• Compiles reports for management.
• Operates furnaces and recommends improvements.
• Manages work procedures to meet schedules.
• Provides relief supervision during weekends, nights, holidays, or as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 2-3 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals.
• Ability to write reports and correspondence.
• Effective communication skills, including speaking in front of groups.
• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, rates, ratios, and percentages.
• Experience developing, implementing, and managing systems and procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Oracle experience preferred.
• Proven ability to be highly motivated, goal-oriented, ethical, and challenge-driven.
• Valid driver's license required.
