Production Supervisor

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise daily production activities and manage a team of production workers in a manufacturing facility.
• Ensure that all production goals are met in terms of quality, efficiency, and safety.
• Cook up the fabrication and assembly processes to optimize workflow on the assembly line.
• Train new employees on proper operating procedures for machinery, including the use of power tools and hand tools.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery to ensure proper functioning and maintenance.
• Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry regulations within the factory environment.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve production issues and improve overall operational efficiency.
• Cook up with warehouse personnel to ensure proper storage and retrieval of materials and finished goods.
• Provide training and development opportunities for production staff.
• Other duties as required and assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven experience as a production group leader or similar role within a manufacturing setting.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management, shipping and receiving practices, and supply chain logistics.
• Familiarity with assembly line processes and quality control standards.
• Ability to read technical documents, blueprints, and manuals related to production operations.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
• Proficiency in analyzing production and logistics data to make informed decisions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Frequently required to stand, walk, bend, stoop or kneel.
• Occasionally work near moving mechanical parts
• While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
• The employee must occasionally lift and /or move more than 30 pounds.
• Frequently required to utilize hand and finger dexterity
• Able to speak Spanish is desired.
• Must be able and willing to travel to customer locations.
