Responsibilities

• Supervise, assign, and verify daily work of hourly production employees.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all policies and regulations.
• Monitor performance (attendance, safety, efficiency) and provide coaching, mentoring, and discipline as needed.
• Drive productivity, quality, and waste reduction across plant processes.
• Support environmental compliance and maintain production reliability.
• Coordinate daily production, maintenance scheduling, and inventory management.
• Foster positive employee relations and build a high-performing team environment.
• Track and report on production, safety, and operational performance metrics.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to lead teams and achieve results through others.
• Strong planning, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Some college coursework.
• Experience working in a unionized environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of safety, environmental, and production compliance standards.
• Ability to learn plant systems and processes and use tracking/reporting tools.
• Willingness to obtain and maintain required certifications (e.g., supervisory certificate, First Aid/CPR, Method 22).
