Responsibilities
- Coach, develop, mentor, and train the team to be the best in the business
- Ensure your team consistently delivers the highest-quality product—on time, every time
- Oversee the day to day activities of a team of production operators
- Set team goals and meet daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual expectations
- Measure and improve group performance
- Lead daily operations and continuous improvement, including production processes, quality, inventory, and operational safety
- Reduce operational cost, inventories, and lead times through continuous improvement
- Promote a team environment
- Perform special projects/tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree a plus
- Some demonstrated experience in a manufacturing management position, or progressive manufacturing experience in a hands-on position as a team leader
- 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of aerospace products and production requirements
- Understanding of operations processes and principles
- Previous team leadership or people-management
- Hands-on knowledge of MRP systems is a plus
Physical Requirements
- Frequent use of personal computers, database and digital platforms, and other office productivity machinery, such as copy machines and computer printers
- Frequently uses hands, fingers, and arms to reach, handle, touch or feel equipment, materials, and computer
- Frequently moves inside the office
- Frequent close vision and the ability to adjust focus
- Occasionally use of steps or ladder
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Seldom to occasionally position self to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Pay
The typical hiring range for this role is $81,000 - $120,000.
