Production Supervisor
About the role
Opportunity To Provide first-line supervision for associates involved in the manufacturing of Plastics Bathing Products. Processes include thermoforming, molding, fiber glass reinforcing, trim drill & grind, sub-assembly fabrication, final assembly, testing and packaging.
Responsibilities
- Manages one or more manufacturing processes by leading the daily activities of hourly associates.
- Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment by ensuring associates are familiar with the hazards of the work area, utilize required PPE and follow the prescribed standard work for the task.
- Executes the daily production schedule to achieve the targeted productivity within the standards for quality, cost, rework & scrap.
- Ensures associates are adequately trained to perform their assigned duties and maintains formal training program.
- Ensures that all policies & standards for conduct are followed to maintain a respectful workplace free from unlawful discrimination and if necessary, takes immediate action to correct associate behavior(s).
- Supports organizational objectives, goals and promotes the spirit of teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Incorporates the practices and principles of 5S, along with good housekeeping in all areas of responsibility.
- Involved with the hiring/talent selection process by identifying the knowledge, skills, & abilities desired and screening potential candidates.
- Maintains a productive and professional relationship with associates through open communications & feedback.
- Evaluates associate job performance, attitude and conduct to assure appropriate recognition for accomplishments or the timely initiation of corrective action.
- Accomplishes routine administrative tasks such as labor accounting, production reporting, and updating area glass walls.
- Performs other duties and projects within scope of basic function as directed by the Superintendent and/or General Supervisor, Plastics.
Requirements
- 3+ years of manufacturing or related industry experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
- Experience in applying lean manufacturing principles to manufacturing activities preferably in any of the following categories: thermoforming, molding, fiber glass reinforcing, trim drill & grind, sub-assembly fabrication, final assembly, testing and packaging
- Degree in business/industrial management, engineering or related field is preferred.
- Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $73,250 - $111,350. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation.
