Production Supervisor

About the role

The Supervisor, Manufacturing Operations at JELD-WEN is responsible for creating and fulfilling production schedules that meet revenue, labor contribution margins, on-time delivery, and quality targets. This role involves providing direction to production personnel to ensure customer commitments are met. The Value Stream Manager oversees manufacturing operations and implements lean manufacturing principles to maximize production efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Implements strategic programs to enhance labor efficiency, on-time delivery, quality, workplace safety, and customer expectations
• Generates monthly reports to track program contributions, lead-times, on-time delivery, continuous improvement efforts, and manufacturing issues
• Maintains a safe and secure work environment by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; enforcing quality standards; and improving products and processes
• Produces products by establishing production planning systems, maintaining good manufacturing practices, enforcing quality standards, and improving products and processes
• Ensures efficient utilization of plant personnel and equipment to meet productivity and cost-effectiveness targets
• Leads a trained and motivated workforce capable of implementing and executing the business strategy

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or associate degree preferably in Mechanical Engineering or Operations
• Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience of related experience in Manufacturing Management
• Preferred experience, knowledge, or training in Six Sigma Lean Methodologies manufacturing
