Production Supervisor

About the role
We are seeking a driven Production Supervisor to lead our manufacturing operations in Quincy, WA. In this role, you will oversee core plant metrics, including total tons produced, operating efficiency, product quality, environmental compliance, and personnel safety. As a frontline leader, your decisions will directly impact daily operations, and you will mentor a local crew while producing diatomaceous earth products.
Responsibilities
- Direct the daily operations of laborers, operators, and maintenance staff, providing training, support, and performance feedback to meet plant objectives.
- Execute the production plan, prioritize tasks, and utilize resources efficiently to achieve production rate and packaging targets.
- Act as the first line of defense during production interruptions, troubleshooting issues, directing shift maintenance for immediate repairs, and escalating major problems to management.
- Monitor the manufacturing and packaging process, including hands-on lab sample analyses for quality control.
- Conduct workplace safety inspections, empower employees to identify hazards, and respond promptly to team concerns.
- Maintain accurate computerized data entry for production reports, time tracking, quality control, and shift performance documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical) strongly preferred; high school diploma or equivalent accepted as minimum.
- At least three (3) years of manufacturing experience, including direct supervisory and leadership responsibilities.
- Strong desire to work locally and commute to our Quincy, WA facility.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Active, on-the-floor leadership role in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Frequent walking of the production floor and navigating multiple plant levels to oversee operations.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, kneel, crouch, reach, speak, hear, write, and safely operate machinery.
- Exposure to industrial elements such as dust, heat, and noise; consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required.
Pay
$75,000 – $95,000 (without degree)
$85,000 – $110,000 (with degree)
Schedule
Full-time, permanent position on the day shift (Monday – Friday).
