Responsibilities
- Supervise Packaging, Assembly, DC, and Component manufacturing team members who assemble, package, label, set up, and operate custom automated equipment, which is designed to assemble and package stainless/carbon steel worm gear clamps in high volumes.
- Ensure that production schedules are met daily while maintaining safety, environmental, quality, and cost objectives.
- Lead and direct employee functions such as selection, hiring, and development of employees, conducting performance reviews and creating development plans.
- Manage training of personnel, including sponsor certifications and hands-on training. Serve as a mentor.
- Ensure compliance with the Quality System and Environmental Management System.
- Direct the work teams and supervise the shift’s production efforts to meet the published schedules.
- Participate and assist in decisions concerning hiring, promotion, discipline, and discharge.
- Maintain consistently safe work environment and personally demonstrate his/her commitment to safety and compliance.
- Hold employees accountable for required safety, environmental, quality, and quantity standards and maintain inspection ready workplace at all times.
- Ensure team members receive sufficient training to accomplish their roles in a safe and productive manner.
- Interpret MRP reports to plan, organize and schedule daily high-volume production requirements for clamp manufacturing and packaging requirements for the Smyrna facility.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
- Ensure efficient coordination and processing of high volume work orders and develop a collaborative and effective working relationship with all support functions.
- Lead and/or participate in continuous improvement activities such as: implementing and sustaining lean manufacturing tools, and automated inspection requirements, etc.
- Consistently lead continuous improvement teams/activities: to improve operating efficiencies, reduce costs, identify unfavorable trends concerning downtime, safety and quality issues.
- Make timely corrections or plans activities with support functions to correct and improve upon such issues.
- Ensure compliance to the Quality Management System and Environmental Management System.
- Understand the process for containing nonconforming product and completing a RID.

Qualifications and Experience
- A relevant business or engineering degree is preferred.
- Minimum of five years of experience in manufacturing environment including supervising hourly associates.
- Understanding of ERP systems, including bill of materials, work order management, inventory control.
- Strong computer skills.
- Proven track record of improving overall efficiencies, reducing cost, and leading teams to effect positive change within the organization.
- Knowledge of lean techniques may be advantageous.
- Microsoft Office experience (Outlook-Word-Excel).
