Production Supervisor

About the role

The Production Supervisor will coordinate all aspects of operations including processing and packaging, and provide support, guidance, and direction to the production team.

Schedule

5:45pm – 6:00am on a 2-2-3 schedule.

Responsibilities

• Own communication within the production area and across functions.
• Serve as a contact and reliable resource for employee and team needs, including timely follow-up on questions, concerns, and ideas; maintain high visibility and approachability.
• Engage employees through regular team meetings, process improvement discussions, and follow-up on suggestions.
• Model a positive, resilient, and results-oriented approach.
• Ensure employees know their opinions count.
• Attend management meetings, which may require working off-shift hours.
• Set clear expectations and provide effective formal and informal employee coaching, performance management, and development.
• Provide recognition and praise to encourage positive work behaviors.
• Use performance metrics to improve efficiency.
• Assess team effectiveness needs and seek resources to assist in team development.
• Manage area-specific production processes, identify improvement opportunities, meet daily production goals, and execute planned improvements.
• Provide at least one business process improvement idea annually.
• Participate in production and people scheduling, adjusting as needed.
