About the Role
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Supervisor will oversee production activities for Line one (1) and Line two (2) at the Rogers, Minnesota facility. This role involves planning, scheduling, and monitoring production to meet requirements, specifications, and deadlines. The supervisor will manage Production Leads and teams, ensuring safety, performance, training, and adherence to procedures. This is a night shift position (5:45 PM – 6:15 AM).
Responsibilities
- Analyze data to increase productivity and identify trends.
- Ensure all areas of the semi-automated production line run optimally and safely.
- Collaborate with the Materials Control Manager to ensure material availability and eliminate production pauses.
- Enforce accurate system transactions for Raw Materials, WIP, Scrap, and Finished Goods.
- Ensure the production team operates safely and efficiently, maintaining site cleanliness and organization.
- Support Team Leads in adhering to SOPs and standardized work instructions (WI).
- Evaluate, monitor, and provide feedback on employee performance, productivity, and compliance.
- Conduct accident/incident investigations, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Assist Human Resources with interviews and walkthroughs for production positions.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Manager.
Time allocation: 45% overseeing production, 30% supervising teams, 20% administrative tasks, 5% other duties.
Requirements
- Related education with at least four (4) years of supervisory experience, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Manufacturing experience is an asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of industrial engineering and manufacturing operations.
- Safety-oriented mindset and ability to collaborate well with others.
- Ability to work independently and take direction.
- ISO 9001:2015 knowledge is an asset.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to obtain a passport and travel internationally (considered an asset).
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk the production floor for up to 12 hours.
- Ability to team lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to tolerate an assembly line environment.
This is a safety-sensitive position requiring a criminal background check and drug screening.
Pay
Salary range: $70,000 to $90,000 annually.
Schedule
Night shift: 5:45 PM – 6:15 AM.
