About the role
We are looking for a Production Supervisor to join our team at Golden Pet Manufacturing, where we create nutritionally-dense, thoughtfully-sourced pet food solutions. This position is based in Richfield, WI, and operates on a 2nd shift schedule (2pm - 10:30pm).
Responsibilities
- Utilize production scheduling tools to direct and maintain daily operations within assigned area(s).
- Use a scan gun to complete transactions within the ERP system and document all associated paperwork.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of department equipment and machinery, including following LOTO procedures and operating equipment to cover absences or breaks.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the ERP system, including completing transactions, identifying issues, and monitoring WIP levels.
- Execute routine operations, ensuring direct reports follow policies and procedures related to employee safety, food safety, and environmental compliance.
- Monitor production outcomes, quantity, and quality to ensure customer and food safety requirements are met.
- Oversee quality standards within assigned area(s), address deviations, and perform audits for quality and safety.
- Ensure work instructions, processes, and procedures are followed, providing coaching and feedback as necessary.
- Develop, supervise, and coach direct reports, including reinforcing company values and guiding principles.
- Understand and manage the production budget for assigned area(s) and collaborate on the overall production budget.
- Track Key Performance Indicators, including yield performance, scrap/waste, and other key standards.
- May be required to work alternative schedules, including weekends, to ensure supervisory coverage.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent (preferred).
- 2+ years of prior supervisory experience (preferred).
- Experience working with an ERP system (preferred).
- Prior experience in a food or pet food production environment (preferred).
