Production Supervisor

About the role

The Production Supervisor position at Georgia-Pacific's plywood mill in Taylorsville, MS, oversees a team to ensure a safe and efficient production environment. Key responsibilities include driving process improvements, facilitating team development, and managing production operations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate production efforts to enhance EHS, compliance, reliability, quality, production, and cost efficiency
• Facilitate team development, employee skill enhancement, problem-solving, and conflict resolution
• Monitor product quality and provide guidance to improve efficiency
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving production issues
• Work in a manufacturing plant environment, including extended shifts

Requirements

• Two (2) or more years of supervisory experience
• Flexible to work any shift, including day, night, weekend, and holidays
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and PC-based production reporting systems

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline preferred
• Three (3) or more years of supervisory experience in an industrial manufacturing or military environment
• Two (2) or more years of supervisory experience in the wood products industry
• Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
