About the role
The Production Supervisor will oversee the shift start-up, meet customer demand, and coordinate people and materials. Key responsibilities include evaluating and interpreting the daily manufacturing schedule, ensuring safety, quality, and cost standards are met, supporting new product launches, maintaining labor variances and yield goals, and managing employee attendance.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and interpret daily manufacturing schedule.
- Ensure continual process improvement.
- Support the launching of all new products and processes.
- Maintain a standard of performance for the manufacturing group.
- Communicate throughout the organization in written and verbal forms.
- Allocate adequate manufacturing resources to support new products.
- Review KRONOS punch detail reports and correct non-compliance with Sarbanes Oxley controls.
- Maintain and improve labor variances and yield goals.
- Monitor daily attendance records to ensure compliance with attendance policies.
- Give constructive feedback and drive accountability.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or food manufacturing equivalent.
- Proficiency in MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Leadership skills, excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Supervisory experience in a production supervision role within a food processing and packaging environment.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
- Formal process improvement, leadership, and execution experience with demonstrated success.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Polish) preferred.
Skills
- Strong understanding of food processing, food sanitation, food safety, worker safety, cost development or equivalent.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Good time management and ability to drive accountability.
