Production Supervisor

They will be managing a group of represented hourly employees in the day-to-day operation of vehicle manufacturing. Duties Successful candidate must perform functions as it relates to safety, people, quality, responsiveness and environmental. These duties include, but not limited to: Ensuring quality vehicles are built within the department and non-conformance is followed up on.Employees time is completed daily for payrollThroughput efficiencies and measured and improved upon daily.Manage cost through scrap reduction initiativesProblem solving of issues within the department.People management and issue resolution between employees and quick grievance resolution. Education Requirements Associate degree required (4-year degree is not required)Years of experience requirement: 2 years of manufacturing experience preferredThe manager is open to a recent graduate (just finished Associates) looking to get into manufacturingHigh energy, fast pacedVery demanding job - think on the fly and make decisions Top 3 Must Have Skills Computer skills - PowerPoint, Microsoft, Excel, Google Docs/FormsUnion Experience is idealMechanically Inclined- Candidate will never pick up a tool or part. They need to look at the bolt and determine the size of the bolt and threaded holes and studs. Also, identify fenders etc... Understand which parts go together.
