About the role

Based in Rainsville, AL, you will oversee daily operations for the SolaHD brand at Emerson’s Rainsville, AL location, ensuring that safety, quality, and productivity targets are consistently met. This role provides essential leadership to production employees, maintains operational excellence, and upholds Emerson’s Core Values while driving continuous improvement throughout the manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop production employees using effective interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills while supporting Emerson’s Open Door Policy and fostering a respectful, inclusive workplace.
  • Plan, schedule, and assign daily production activities to ensure alignment with production priorities, delivery schedules, and departmental performance goals.
  • Partner with planning, materials, and operations teams to help maintain appropriate inventory levels and ensure uninterrupted production flow.
  • Support the achievement of quality targets by providing coaching, feedback, and training to production employees while reinforcing adherence to quality standards.
  • Support the employee lifecycle including hiring, onboarding, performance management, coaching, and employee development.
  • Promote 6S, Continuous Improvement, and Lean Manufacturing initiatives by identifying improvement opportunities and supporting implementation of process improvements.
  • Champion safety initiatives by providing training, reinforcing safe work practices, and proactively identifying and addressing safety concerns.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 5 years of leadership experience, including supervising teams, assigning work, and managing performance.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles.

Pay
