Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a frontline production team through coaching, mentorship, cross-training, and performance management.
- Utilize data-driven problem-solving tools and root cause analysis to improve quality, reliability, yield, and operational performance.
- Oversee day-to-day production activities for a team of approximately 10 employees in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
- Reinforce process discipline and standard work while monitoring operations and addressing process variation.
- Collaborate with Maintenance, Engineering, and Quality teams to drive equipment reliability and process improvement initiatives.
- Promote a strong safety culture through training, hazard recognition, safe work practices, and incident response.
- Communicate priorities, expectations, and operational updates effectively across shift transitions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Interest in frontline leadership within a hands-on manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work a rotating 12-hour shift schedule (DuPont schedule).
Preferred Qualifications
- Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering experience in a high-volume or 24/7 production environment through internships, co-ops, technician roles, operator leadership positions, or full-time employment.
- Previous leadership experience managing teams, projects, training initiatives, or continuous improvement efforts.
- Experience with structured problem-solving methodologies such as Root Cause Analysis (RCA), 5 Whys, standard work, or error-proofing techniques.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively to operators and technicians.
