Job Responsibilities
- Oversee the plant’s operations surrounding monitoring, reviewing and reporting the operations of respective departments
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of company policies, procedures and regulations to ensure effective and efficient operation of the plant
- Utilize significant analytical ability, superior communication and strong problem-solving skills to ensure success in the role
- Ensure effective employee relations and provide coaching and development where necessary
- Make employment related decisions alongside management and human resources and resolve employment issues through solution-focused resolutions
- Continuously improve all areas including quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale to achieve positive results in all work areas
- Manage departmental performance measures, including visual controls and provide regular progress reports to senior leadership
- Perform accident-related investigations alongside the plant’s Safety Manager
- Maintain proper inventory levels within assigned departments and manage departmental priorities
- Aid human resources in tracking absenteeism and employee timekeeping
- Perform other duties as assigned or deemed necessary based on the needs of the business
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience preferred
- Typically requires 5+ years specific manufacturing experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of the overall organizational function from a site-specific standpoint
- Knowledge of manufacturing/industry specific procedures and terminology
