About the role

The Production Supervisor is responsible for streamlining the production process and managing the team of production operators, ensuring that production goals are met and quality standards are maintained. This is a safety-sensitive position requiring regular attendance and sobriety.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the production lines, including managing Leads and Operators, allocating work, and ensuring supplies and equipment are available and functioning.
  • Support onboarding, training, coaching, and evaluating Lead Operators to enhance performance and productivity.
  • Build strong relationships with team members through regular communication and feedback.
  • Conduct regular team stand-up meetings and huddles to discuss production progress, address concerns, and provide updates.
  • Champion a positive work environment by promoting core values-driven behaviors aligned with the company’s mission.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging waste reduction and implementing lean practices.
  • Manage inventory at the production stage, tracking raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
  • Follow and adjust Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WI), and maintenance requests to maintain quality.
  • Monitor progress, revise schedules, resolve problems, and report shift production standards (SQDC).
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through workshops, publications, and industry bench-marking.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; HACCP certification preferred.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a production setting (e.g., Supervisor, Lead, or Team Lead).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage workflows, and meet production targets in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality standards, and safety regulations.
  • Experience with continuous improvement practices (e.g., Lean manufacturing) preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Standing and walking for up to 100% of the shift, including climbing stairs and ladders.
  • Use of hands and fingers to handle objects, tools, or controls; frequent reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
  • Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry materials and products weighing up to 60 pounds, including overhead lifting.
  • Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to varying temperatures, moderate noise, and moving mechanical parts.
  • Specific vision abilities required: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM until 3:30 PM.
