Production Supervisor
for sections: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. Only include sections that have real specific content. Remove boilerplate, navigation, legal, EEO, scam warnings, duplicated lines, application instructions. Also do not repeat job title as heading. Do not put Job ID/requisition numbers as headings.
We need to parse the posting.
Job title: Production Supervisor – 2nd or 3rd Shift 3PM-11:00PM or 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM, with some weekend work required.
Position Summary: "Supervises the daily activities of production personnel and provides key leadership to safety, quality, housekeeping and cost reduction while promoting positive employee relations within the production team. Supervisor is held accountable to ensure production activities are carried out in compliance with all environmental, health, and safety requirements, policies, and procedures and is a key driver of Saint-Gobain's Trust, Empowerment and Collaboration initiative."
Key Responsibilities: list bullet points.
IS THIS JOB FOR YOU? includes: 4 year degree preferred (equivalent experience may be considered) 3+ years of Supervisory experience (manufacturing environment preferred) Proficient in use of MS Office (familiarity with Kronos and SAP a plus) General understanding of ISO methodology Excellent written and verbal communication skills Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, TPM, 5S & Six Sigma a plus
Then "A Little More About Us": description of company values, etc. That could be "About the role"? Actually "About the role" maybe includes position summary and company description. We'll decide.
Benefits: "Benefits In Joining Us" includes list of benefits.
Pay: "Certain states require pay information to be provided in job postings. The national pay range for this position is [$72,500-$111,500] per year; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is [9%] of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The total target cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position is [$79,025- $121,500.00]."
Schedule: The shift times: 2nd or 3rd Shift 3PM-11:00PM or 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM, with some weekend work required.
We need to include sections only if they have real specific content. So we likely will have sections: About the role (position summary + maybe company description?), Responsibilities, Requirements (maybe combine qualifications?), Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule.
But we need to follow headings list: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule.
We need to decide what goes where. The posting includes "Position Summary" (could be About the role). "Key Responsibilities" -> Responsibilities. "IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?" includes education, experience, etc. That could be Requirements and Qualifications and Skills. We need to split appropriately.
We have: 4 year degree preferred (equivalent experience may be considered) -> Qualification/Education. 3+ years of Supervisory experience (manufacturing environment preferred) -> Experience requirement. Proficient in use of MS Office (familiarity with Kronos and SAP a plus) -> Skill. General understanding of ISO methodology -> Skill/Knowledge. Excellent written and verbal communication skills -> Skill. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, TPM, 5S & Six Sigma a plus -> Skill.
Thus we could have Requirements (education + experience), Qualifications (maybe same?), Skills (specific skills). But to avoid duplication, we could combine Requirements and Qualifications into one section? However the instruction says use headings for those categories if content exists. We can have both if we have distinct content.
We could put:
- About the role: Position Summary + maybe "A Little More About Us" (company description). But the instruction says prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones. So we could combine company description into About the role.
- Responsibilities: list of duties.
- Requirements: education and experience.
- Qualifications: maybe we could include "General understanding of ISO methodology" etc? But that's more skill. Could treat Qualifications as "Preferred qualifications" like 4 year degree, 3+ years experience. But we already used that. Hmm.
Better: Use Requirements for mandatory requirements (education, experience). Use Qualifications for preferred qualifications (like familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, etc). Use Skills for specific skills (MS Office, Kronos, SAP, communication). But there is overlap.
Let's parse:
Mandatory/Preferred: "4 year degree preferred (equivalent experience may be considered)" - that's a qualification/education.
"3+ years of Supervisory experience (manufacturing environment preferred)" - experience requirement.
"Proficient in use of MS Office (familiarity with Kronos and SAP a plus)" - skill.
"General understanding of ISO methodology" - skill/knowledge.
"Excellent written and verbal communication skills" - skill.
"Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, TPM, 5S & Six Sigma a plus" - skill/qualification.
Thus we could have:
Requirements: 4 year degree preferred (or equivalent experience); 3+ years supervisory experience (manufacturing preferred).
Qualifications: Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with Kronos and SAP a plus; general understanding of ISO methodology; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Skills: Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, TPM, 5S & Six Sigma a plus.
But that seems odd splitting.
Alternatively, we could combine Requirements and Qualifications into one section called Requirements (or Qualifications). But the instruction says use those headings if content exists. We could have both but ensure they are not thin.
Maybe we can have:
- About the role: Position Summary + company description.
- Responsibilities: list.
- Requirements: Education and experience.
- Skills: MS Office, Kronos, SAP, ISO methodology, communication, Lean, Six Sigma, etc.
- Benefits: list.
- Pay: pay range and bonus.
- Schedule: shift times.
Thus we omit Qualifications heading (since we merged into Skills or Requirements). But we need to follow instruction: "Use for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule)." It says e.g., meaning those are examples; we can use them if we have content. It doesn't say we must use all. So we can omit Qualifications if we don't have distinct content.
Thus final HTML:
