Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet production schedules and customer requirements.
- Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and compliance with company standards.
- Lead, coach, and motivate production employees to achieve performance goals.
- Schedule and assign work based on production priorities and staffing levels.
- Ensure adherence to safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections to maintain product quality and operational excellence.
- Identify production issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Monitor equipment performance and coordinate maintenance activities as needed.
- Maintain accurate production records, reports, and documentation.
- Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback.
- Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, Warehouse, and Supply Chain teams to optimize production.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity, reduce waste, and improve efficiency.
- Manage employee attendance, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions in accordance with company policies.
- Conduct cycle time analyses for product review
- Release work orders to production floor and close job orders once completed through production.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma is required.
- Bilingual – English/Spanish is required.
- Three to five years of manufacturing supervisor experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement principles is a plus.
- A strong understanding of production processes, quality systems, and workplace safety is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and manufacturing/ERP systems is essential.
- The ability to work in a manufacturing or production environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures is necessary.
- The ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines is important.
- An attention to detail and commitment to quality are required.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills are valued.
- Availability to work the required shift, weekends, and overtime to support production demands is expected.
