Production Supervisor

About the role

Manage, participate and adhere to conformance with the company safety and environmental programs. Responsible to identify and initiate actions to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformities relating to product or process. Oversee the loading of raw materials into the operation as well as shipments and distribution of finished goods and materials by rail and truck. Willing and able to work rotating shifts.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in a technical discipline; Bachelor Degree preferred
• 5+ years of direct production supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong material management skills with focus on quality, safety, environmental matters, process and people
• Industry background in manufacturing related to mining, paper mills, steel plants, refractory, heavy equipment fabrication, stone processing, cement plants, etc., highly preferred
• Results-driven and self-starter
• Prior union workplace experience
• Strong management skills with strong interpersonal/people skills
• Positive and proactive attitude with ability to address issues and implement solutions
• Ability to easily understand and follow directions
• Detail- and process-oriented with strong problem resolution abilities
• Computer skills
