About the role
Partners with management to promote the growth, quality, and efficiency of V&V Supremo Foods’ production processes and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Establishes and/or adjusts production schedules to supply & demand volumes.
- Solves problems to positively improve working conditions and direct/motivate the workforce.
- Supplies and maintains necessary materials, tools & inventory levels for required objectives and work tasks.
- Enforces policies and procedures to meet or exceed quality specifications and safety standards.
- Inspects products to verify conformance to specifications and directs setup and adjustments of equipment ensuring food safety.
- Manages production schedules, labor use and worker hour requirements for completion of job assignments.
- Makes recommendations for continuous improvements.
- Ensures SQF compliance.
- Supervises staff of 18 to 24.
- Ensures monthly training is executed according to plan.
- Ensures employees are using the right safety tools (PPE) and equipment.
- Led by example, safety first and ensures employee ownership.
- Reports any injuries, conducts investigation (root cause analysis), and develops action plan in conjunction with management to prevent from reoccurrence.
- Follows and enforces safety (OSHA) regulations and procedures.
- Responsible for quality.
- Trains/retrains staff on policies/procedures that help ensure SQF adherence and promote food safety related behaviors and integrity as it relates to a food safety culture.
- Maintains time and production records, requisitions, and verifies product specs.
- Complies with and enforces all Safe Quality Food (SQF/HACCP) policies/procedures and requirements.
- Responsible for people.
- Confer with other supervisors during shift exchange to coordinate facility activities.
- Plan and assign work, implement policies and procedures, recommends improvements in production methods and equipment, standard operating procedures and working conditions.
- Manage performance, drive accountability and recognition of employees based on job description/classifications and performance metrics (safety, quality, performance, cost).
- Verify and approve scheduled hours.
- Responsible for performance/production.
- Familiar with dairy manufacturing equipment and food packaging systems.
- Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
- Conducts weekly cycle counts of raw materials, packaging materials and finish goods.
- Orders materials based on production schedule and aligned with Plant Management based on availability.
- Ensures quality specs to avoid write offs.
- Manages labor hours and overtime below or equal to budget.
- Ensures pounds per hour per SKU are meeting or exceeding standards.
- Minimizes waste product, supplies, materials, and utilities.
- Maximizes yield and minimizes giveaway (overweight).
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Meets or exceeds KPI (Key Performance Indicator) daily reports (People, Quality, Production, Performance, Cost).
- Conducts cycle counts of raw materials, packaging materials and finish goods.

Qualifications
- Production experience in the consumer goods industry (prefer food processing & sanitation exp.).
- Continuous process / production process improvement knowledge.
- ERP / MRP knowledge and troubleshooting.
- OEE experience.
- Familiar with manufacturing equipment including packaging.
- Experience supervising Spanish speaking workforce (18 to 24).
- At least 5 years’ experience as a Production Supervisor.
- BA or BS desired.
- Absence of Supervisor.
- In the absence of the Plant Manager, it is your responsibility to refer to key personnel of equal status for any food safety issues.

- WORK ENVIROMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS.
- Production roles are performed in a food manufacturing environment and require strict adherence to food safety, quality, and workplace safety standards, including use of required PPE.
- Employees may work in areas with variable temperatures, machinery noise, and exposure to food ingredients and sanitation chemicals.
- The role requires standing or walking for extended periods, performing repetitive tasks, and regularly lifting up to 25–35 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds with assistance).
