Production Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates a production shift
• Makes sure employees are trained and qualified before they work on machinery and equipment
• Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures
• Communicates results and issues to shift staff
• Enforces strict safety guidelines and company standards
• Monitors employee productivity and provides constructive feedback and coaching
• Completes other duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications and Experience

• 3 - 5 years of progressive supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with applications of Lean Manufacturing philosophies, TPM, or Six Sigma
• Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization
• Able to work on continental shift
• Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, confidentially, diplomatically, and professionally always
• Excellent time and project management skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Proven experience as supervisor or relevant role
• Ability to learn a variety of job descriptions
• Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
• Good knowledge of MS Office
• Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
• Problem-solving skills
• High School Diploma, Degree in a technical, engineering, or relevant field will be an advantage
• Mandarin an asset

Health & Safety

• Participates in the Company’s Health & Safety, Housekeeping and Environmental programs
• Ensures all internal safety policies and legislation are followed as part of Due Diligence
• Maintains awareness of injuries and completes paperwork as required
• Attends workplace inspections on a monthly basis as required
• Attends all safety training as required
• Maintains working knowledge of all safety legislation and follows all health and safety policies
• Ensures all employees follow company’s health and safety policies and procedures and reports all violations
