Responsibilities

• Supervise the shift production crew to ensure kilns, mills, and auxiliary equipment are operated safely and efficiently to produce a quality product.
• Follow company Standard Operating Practices for plant operations.
• Ensure all employees and contractors work safely in compliance with company work rules and MSHA standards.
• Operate the plant in a manner that avoids serious damage to equipment.
• Run the plant in compliance with environmental regulations and ensure product meets company standards.
• Maximize equipment operating time and throughput consistent with company practices and policies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution (2-year associate degree preferred).
• 2 years of supervisory experience.
• 5 years of experience working in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
• Experience supervising in a union environment is preferred.
• Control room or lab experience is preferred.
• Ability to work rotating shifts to support 24/7 plant operations.
• Experience in the cement, lime, or aggregate industry is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral).
