About the role

The Production Supervisor oversees production areas, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality standards are met. This role leads production teams, supports workflow execution, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to meet operational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Production Oversight & Schedule Execution: Supervise daily production activities, coordinate labor and resources, and communicate priorities and updates to employees and leadership.

  • Team Leadership & Employee Support: Provide day-to-day supervision, train employees, and support their development. Conduct shift start-up meetings and partner with the Production Manager on coaching and corrective action planning.

  • Quality & Process Compliance: Ensure employees follow work instructions and monitor product quality. Work with the Quality team to investigate non-conformances and support corrective actions.

  • Continuous Improvement & Operational Support: Support continuous improvement initiatives, participate in lean manufacturing efforts, and assist with improving workflow efficiency.

  • Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance: Promote a safe work environment, enforce safety policies, and address unsafe conditions. Participate in safety walks and audits.

  • Materials, Inventory & Floor Coordination: Help ensure production areas have necessary materials and support efficient material flow. Communicate shortages and concerns to relevant teams.

  • Communication & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a key communicator between production employees and leadership. Collaborate with various departments to support daily operations.

  • Accountability: Set clear expectations, hold team members accountable, and foster a culture of ownership and urgency.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or additional manufacturing/technical training preferred.

  • 3+ years of manufacturing experience required, with prior leadership, lead, or supervisory experience preferred.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced production environment with responsibility for meeting schedules and quality expectations.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes, safety practices, and quality standards.

  • Ability to coach employees, manage priorities, and respond effectively to changing production needs.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort working with production-related systems or reporting tools.
