Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Team Leaders.
• Coach and guide Team Members to achieve the Company’s common goals and maintain a world-class facility.
• Ensure all attendance entries in the Timekeeping System are completed for payroll accuracy.
• Maintain good communication with the Operations Manager on all critical matters.
• Foster strong communication and relationships with other lead managers through regularly scheduled meetings.
• Drive accountability for housekeeping guidelines and monitor HiLo damage, enforcing accountability for negligence.
• Sustain company culture by encouraging quality, safety, efficiency, and cost-improvement suggestions.
• Understand and follow up on Company processes, including corrective action files, incident investigations, FIFO, and Min/Max; ensure adherence to all processes.
• Actively lead problem-solving analysis and develop irreversible corrective actions for quality issues.
• Maintain respect from peers, sequencers, HiLo Drivers, and other teams while promoting positive morale.
• Enforce safety rules, including PPE, safety glasses, stack heights, battery changes, and dock locks.
• Flexible work schedule to cover vacations or overtime when required.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School diploma.
• 2+ years of experience working in the automotive industry and/or leading teams.
• Ability to use OSR/HMI to make decisions that meet customer expectations and delivery requirements.
• Ability to establish a positive, proactive relationship with the Union.
• Ability to identify problem situations and seek help before emergencies arise.
• Ability to receive constructive feedback and drive accountability within the workforce.
• Familiarity with GM - FTA expectations and resolution of problems with Penske, LLP, and FTA.
• Ability to act as an independent leader and transition to a team player when needed.
• Ability to work in a rapid-paced environment and effectively interact with and lead people.
• Ability to prioritize tasks based on Company and customer goals.
• Exceptional people skills and strong analytical ability.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to resolve problems using Company values.
• Excellent attendance record (punctuality).
• Sense of urgency when dealing with liaisons, hot shots, etc.
