Production Supervisor

About the Role

Amsted Rail-Griffin Wheel, the leading manufacturer of railroad wheels in North America, is currently seeking a qualified individual for the position of Afternoon Production Supervisor for our Groveport foundry. The Production Supervisor is responsible for melting and casting production, including mold cleaning/preparation, as well as maintenance of equipment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and schedule work to minimize production interruptions and meet department production objectives.
• Provide effective supervision of others, apply company policies and practices, maintain sound employee relations, resolve employee complaints, and uphold workplace safety and good housekeeping standards.
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent required; additional higher education and training preferred.
• Availability to work required schedules and cross-train as needed.
• Demonstrated proficiency in the technical aspects of the assigned area or successful completion of required tests.
• Minimum of two years of manufacturing experience; prior supervisory experience preferred.
