Production Supervisor

Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise, and support employees within the assigned production area to ensure daily manufacturing schedules are completed and quality standards are achieved.
  • Promote compliance with safety, training, quality, mechanical, 5S, and production priorities.
  • Participate in Kaizen events and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure ISO 9001 compliance within the assigned area.
  • Collaborate with Process Engineers, Planners, Production Control, and other stakeholders to ensure specification compliance and shipment requirements are met.
  • Maintain accurate daily reporting of order completions and prepare quality deviation reports when required.
  • Monitor production performance, identify issues, and implement corrective actions to ensure production standards are consistently achieved.
  • Champion 5S initiatives and continuous improvement efforts while encouraging team participation.
  • Coach, motivate, and develop employees by providing clear direction, support, and accountability.
  • Manage employee training and development to build capability, autonomy, and growth opportunities.
  • Address employee performance and conduct matters in a fair, legal, and consistent manner.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to resolve equipment-related issues and minimize downtime.
  • Maintain workplace organization and conduct routine 5S audits within the designated area.
  • Ensure employees have the necessary PPE and resources to perform their duties safely.
  • Cook up staffing, equipment scheduling, and production planning activities to meet operational demands.
  • Troubleshoot and communicate issues related to routings and bill of materials (BOM) accuracy.
  • Review and approve weekly hourly employee timecards to support payroll accuracy.
  • Support hiring activities, including interviewing candidates and providing hiring recommendations.
  • Support employee evaluation processes, including onboarding, probationary, and annual reviews.
  • Adhere to all safety standards, safe work practices, and business conduct requirements.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development through leadership and management training.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and develop a diverse workforce.
  • Experience with Oracle software is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment that is not climate controlled.
  • Ability to move materials weighing up to 50 pounds when required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong reading comprehension and problem-solving abilities.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
