Responsibilities

• Work to continuously improve quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas.
• Manage departmental performance measures, including visual controls and provide regular progress reports to manager.
• Verify the production schedule to machine efficiency.
• Direct and supply manpower for each shift. Fill overtime.
• Monitor the process and quality during the shift.
• Verify inventory and make corrections when needed.
• Write work orders and review maintenance items needed for daily production.
• Develop and communicate shift production plans through the DSC.
• Maintain yearly goals and objectives.
• Ensure all employees are working safely. Assist in accident investigations as needed.
• Own the improvement of safety through performing monthly safety inspections of manufacturing area.
• Ensure work areas are clean and organized during and at end of shift.
• Responsible for hourly employee payroll including vacation approval/denial.
• Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned.

Requirements

• Associates degree in area of specialty.
• Five (5) or more years of manufacturing experience.
• 30-hour OSHA safety course a plus
• Lean manufacturing

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Basic math skills
• Highly motivated
• Strong time management and priorities management skills
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Computer literate with knowledge of Excel.
• BPCS experience a plus.
• Ability to interact with vendors and internal customers
• Attention to detail
• Metrics driven

Pay

Salary Range: 77,000 USD to 88,000 USD
