What You Will Be Doing
- Supports, promotes and adheres to all Company Safety policies and initiatives with team.
- Coincides material flow with other departments and logistics.
- Provides guidance, direction and monitors performance to medium sized groups (15 – 45) of hourly employees.
- Maintains time and production records for all direct reports.
- Keeps management informed of progress, developments and pending problems and recommends plans and solutions.
- Sets and monitors work of hourly employees.
- Diagnoses equipment malfunctions (or "assists" in).
- Responds to customer concerns.
- Reads and analyzes charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports, to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates, outputs and worker hour requirements for completion of job assignments.
- Interprets company policy to workers and enforces safety regulations while complying with terms of MTU and regulatory policies.
Position Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in operations management or equivalent and 3 years’ hourly supervision or manufacturing experience; or 7 years hourly supervision or manufacturing experience.
- Must be available to work all shifts and/or flexible hours.
- The training will occur on 1st shift from 6am to 4:30pm Monday through Thursday for the first few weeks.
- After training is successfully completed, the night shift schedule will be from 7:30pm to 6am, Sunday through Wednesday.
- The off-shift hours are eligible for shift premium pay.
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge and experience with computer applications and/or controlled systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Good Leadership skills.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with others.
- Good knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Principles.
Work Conditions
- Daily work is performed in a general manufacturing, office, and test cell environment.
- This position has a compressed work schedule (Sunday through Wednesday 10 hours per day).
- Routine overtime is expected as business needs require.
- This is an off-shift position and hour range is still to be determined from 7:30 pm to 6:00 am.
- Routine work is performed inside and occasionally outside of the work environment.
- Routine work is performed in environmental conditions where there are fumes and dust.
- Routine work is performed in environmental conditions where there are unpleasant odors and gases.
- Conditions can be hazardous.
- Regularly stands, climbs, balances, bends, kneels, crouches, reaches, and squats.
- Frequently walks inside and outside the work environment.
- Frequently grasps and manipulates items in a maneuverable manner to perform daily tasks.
- No special vision requirements for this position.
