Production Supervisor – 3rd Shift, Rochester, NY

Polymer Resources is seeking a Production Supervisor for the 3rd shift at our Rochester, NY facility. The company compounds Engineering Thermoplastic materials used in Injection Molding and Profile Extrusion applications, serving Medical, Automotive, Consumer, and Industrial markets. Responsibilities

• Ensure objectives of safety, quality, productivity, and customer service are met.
• Operate extrusion lines, including single screw and twin screw extruders, and related subsystems such as pumps, blowers, pelletizers, and temperature controllers.
• Ensure safe operation of personnel and equipment.
• Maintain awareness of equipment status and adjust process settings to meet customer specifications.
• Remain calm under pressure, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and address situations as they arise.
• In a team environment, coach, supervise, lead, discipline, direct, audit, and coordinate employee activities.
• Act as a direct liaison between Plant Manager/Site Leader and operators.
• Support and enforce plant and corporate policies.

Required Skills

• Strong communication and writing skills.
• Ability to perform arithmetic and algebra at a high school level.
• Capable of writing reports, using personal computers, and basic computer skills in MS Office programs.
• Ability to work with hand tools.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Desired Skills

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Extrusion experience, with twin-screw extruder experience helpful.
• Forklift operation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Pay

$24–$28/hour plus shift differential.
