Production Supervisor 3rd shift

About the role

This position involves planning and overseeing daily operations, staff management, and process improvement in a manufacturing, distribution, or logistics environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee daily work schedules and staff assignments.
• Supervise, train, coach, evaluate, and develop team members in accordance with company policies.
• Monitor employee performance, attendance, and adherence to procedures and customer expectations.
• Promote and enforce safety, quality, and housekeeping (5S) standards.
• Minimize overtime and improve operational efficiency through process standardization and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with production and plant leadership to meet business objectives.
• Track production output, identify issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure staffing and workflow support production demands and customer needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or logistics environment.
• Experience with hiring, training, coaching, performance management, and employee development.
• Knowledge of production scheduling, material management, and lean manufacturing principles preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; ERP/Sage experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and lead teams effectively.
• Forklift certification/experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work safely at all times.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Work Environment

• Frequently exposed to moving mechanical equipment such as forklifts and other machinery.
• Noise level in the work environment can be loud.
• Works in temperature conditions between 45 to 95 degrees Fahrenheit; may occasionally exceed 95 degrees.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to talk or hear.
• Frequently required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach/lift with hands and arms up to 50 pounds.
