Job Summary

The Production Supervisor at our company is a key member of the Business Unit’s Production Management Group. Reporting to the Director of Operations, this role oversees production on the 3rd Shift, which operates Sunday through Thursday from 11:00pm - 7:00am.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure machinery is maintained in excellent mechanical condition to minimize waste.
  • Investigate and document incidences of high waste to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Perform set-up checks to enforce Standard Operating Conditions.
  • Directly supervise and train hourly production staff.
  • Recommend equipment and procedural improvements to enhance machine speeds and productivity.
  • Allocate resources based on business demands and manage full-time and temporary workforce headcount.
  • Investigate, mediate, and resolve employee relations issues.
  • Ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures.
  • Deliver performance reviews and propose merit increases based on established criteria.
  • Train new or transferred employees in their job functions.
  • Provide performance feedback to reports and motivate employees to perform at their best.
  • Offer excellent customer service to the team by addressing questions, solving problems, and preventing issues.
  • Carry out other projects as assigned by the Production Manager.

Requirements

  • At least 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with at least 3+ years in a supervisory role.
  • At least 3+ years of experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
  • Knowledge of machine operations and warehouse operations is beneficial.
  • A minimum of an Associate’s degree in business administration or equivalent (a Bachelor’s degree is preferred).

Work Environment

  • Comfortable working in a non-temperature-controlled environment.
  • Wearing hearing protection and steel-toed shoes.
  • Strict adherence to safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Compensation

The compensation range for this position is $65,670 - $82,038 annually, subject to applicable law and determined based on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. Pre-Hire Process
