About the role
We’re looking for a General Production Supervisor to lead our manufacturing department(s) and ensure safety, productivity, quality, and housekeeping goals are met. This role requires strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Responsibilities
- Directs operations of one or more departments to ensure safety, productivity, quality, and housekeeping goals are met.
- Drives proactive problem-solving activities to ensure continuous improvement of department(s).
- Coordinates production activities and processes; ensures adequate human and material resources to maintain production schedules according to process specifications; oversees multi-processes and possibly over multiple shifts.
- Set daily/weekly/monthly objectives and clearly communicate them to employees.
- Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules.
- Timely and accurately maintain company records including but not limited to employee timekeeping, training, and coaching.
- Anticipate short-term and long-term production needs and plan to meet them in conjunction with sales and scheduling efforts and make daily production decisions accordingly.
- Train new employees on how to safely use machinery and follow procedure.
- Identifies significant manpower and workflow bottlenecks and initiates corrective actions.
- Achieve continuous improvement in quality, waste and productivity through utilizing Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Supports adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Consistently operate in a manner that aligns to the Company Core Values

Qualifications
- Must understand people and be able to communicate effectively with them.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Working knowledge of computer applications, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and ERP systems.
- Detailed knowledge of Quality system requirements, Lean Principles and policies; Six Sigma Yellow Belt, or higher, preferred.
