About the role

The Production Supervisor ensures production meets Employee Safety, Food Safety, and Quality standards set by Westrock, the food industry (SQF), and regulatory agencies. This role oversees RTD production areas, manages employees, and drives continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operation of the RTD production facility.
• Manage people, including training, planning, and conflict resolution.
• Provide direction, assign responsibilities, and motivate the production team to achieve department goals.
• Ensure daily production adheres to schedule and meets all quality standards.
• Proactively adjust staffing levels if production goals are at risk of not being met.
• Identify and address safety hazards; coach personnel in safety initiatives.
• Accurately interpret production schedules, work orders, and instructions to ensure proper materials and specifications are followed.
• Inspect processes and complete all required documents and checklists related to equipment operation.
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving basic to moderate operational difficulties.
• Report problems with quality, processes, equipment malfunctions, and materials.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues using continuous improvement; document work instructions and resolutions.
• Ensure all changeovers, start-ups, and shutdowns are performed safely and efficiently.
• Assist in tracking daily KPI numbers.
• Follow all quality system and safety protocols, including safe equipment operation, proper PPE use, and maintaining clean work areas.
• Adhere to all policies, procedures, standards, and safety requirements.
• Occasionally work weekends or holidays due to production demands.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Department and Company Management.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Associate degree in Management or Business preferred.
• Experience leading hourly employees.
• Ability to work well under pressure with competing demands in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills, including speaking, writing, active listening, and taking instruction.
• Good leadership and training skills.
• Excellent mechanical skills, including comfort with using tools to make simple repairs.
• Advanced knowledge of following specifications and manuals.
• Quick troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to pass Better Process Control School.

Pay

Starting pay rate: $75,000.00 per year.
