About the role
Toledo Tool & Die is adding a Production Supervisor to their team to support their continued growth.
Responsibilities
- Recommend or implement measures to motivate employees and to improve safety, production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.
- Enforce safety regulations.
- Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the production or processing of goods, such as inspectors and operators.
- Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
- Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
- Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
- Observe work and monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure that operators conform to production or processing standards.
- Conduct employee training in equipment operations or work and safety procedures or assign employee training to experienced workers.
- Interpret specifications, blueprints, job orders, and company policies and procedures for workers.
- Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Authority to stop production in the event unsafe parts or conditions appear.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate Supervisor and/or Manager, which may be outside the scope of responsibilities noted above.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Eligible to work in the United States.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Production Supervisor or similar role required.
- Experience with high volume resistance welding in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with robotic welding in a manufacturing environment.
- Identified candidates must be able to work overtime (daily, weekends, and holidays).
- Must be able to satisfactorily complete pre-employment screening (background check, drug screen).
- Must be able to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Report for work on time to support production startup.
- Possess good physical stamina and coordination.
- Able to work as a team, good communication skills, basic math skills, physical dexterity.
