Production Supervisor 2nd Shift

Overview

The Pictsweet Company is growing! Established in 1945, Pictsweet is a frozen vegetable producer with agricultural roots. We are recruiting a Supervisor at our flagship manufacturing facility in Bells, TN.

Responsibilities

• Ensures and monitors all quality and food safety systems in place for the production of quality products manufactured under clean and safe conditions.
• Maintains compliance with all regulations relating to food safety and personnel safety such as FDA, USDA, OSHA, and TOSHA.
• Follows all Company policies and procedures and ensures a safe work place.
• Collaborates with management, warehouse, quality control, and maintenance personnel for production scheduling.
• Monitors production lines and directs daily production schedule.
• Visually inspects work areas and production equipment, ensuring proper operation and notifying maintenance if repairs are needed.
• Maintains hourly HACCP checks and ensures compliance with standards and procedures, taking corrective action if necessary.
• Trains and evaluates hourly associates, providing counsel as necessary, and adjusts product, manpower, and equipment resources as needed.
• Maintains production performance standards and implements corrective actions when process deviations occur.
• Controls costs, operates within budget parameters, maintains appropriate production records and statistical reports, and communicates frequently with plant management regarding production.
• Anticipates and resolves problems, conducts food safety and personnel safety training, serves on the Emergency Response Team, and assists in both internal and external food safety audits.
• Assists in timekeeping and learns appropriate systems to manage associates' time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or ten years' experience as a supervisor in a manufacturing or food environment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
• Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) helpful but not required.
• Computer proficiency with spreadsheets and word-processing.
• Resides within 15 miles of Bells, TN or willing to relocate.
