Responsibilities
- Safeguard the production process by performing daily inspections and taking immediate corrective actions.
- Lead safety audits and implement ergonomic initiatives to ensure compliance with HACCP and USDA regulations.
- Maintain product quality by enforcing Food Safety and Food Quality plans and training employees on safe operating procedures.
- Track and analyze production yields, efficiencies, and variances to optimize workflows and minimize costs.
- Direct and coach hourly production employees to align on safety, quality, and production goals, and lead monthly line meetings.
- Analyze key product performance metrics to identify areas for continuous improvement and suggest enhancements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Business or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 2+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience leading teams through training, coaching, or mentoring.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to solve complex process issues.
- Skilled in motivating, training, and coaching employees to achieve peak performance and foster a positive work environment.
- Adaptable to fast-paced, dynamic environments and willing to work long hours and weekends when needed.
Qualifications
- Experience in food processing, leadership, and manufacturing.
- Knowledge of yields, plant efficiencies, and operations procedures.
- Skills in SAP, internet tools, spreadsheets, Word, order processing, and inventory software.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
